2. Professional information

Technical responsibility is held by Carlos Montamarta, Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, registered with the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos of Spain, professional registration number 3112.

Regulated professional work is subject to the applicable Spanish professional rules. Information on those rules is available from the professional body at https://www.ingenierosnavales.com/.

For enquiries about professional credentials or the scope of a regulated assignment, contact us before commissioning the service.

3. Website purpose

YachtAsk offers information about boat and yacht valuation services, online valuation reports and the optional 30-day market monitoring service. On-board assessments and specialist assignments are subject to an individual agreed scope and quotation.

Browsing the website or making an enquiry does not itself commission an inspection or create an obligation to pay.

4. Meaning of valuation information

A valuation is an estimate at a stated date, based on the information and evidence identified in the report. It is not a guaranteed sale price, a certificate of seaworthiness or a verification of title, debts or tax status.

An online valuation does not include a physical inspection. Acceptance of a report by an insurer, lender or other third party depends on that party's requirements.

5. Lawful use and intellectual property

Use the website lawfully and do not interfere with its security, introduce malicious material or access information without authorisation.

Website content and original reports are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You retain rights in the material you supply. Use of a commissioned report is governed by the agreed purpose and its stated scope; mandatory disclosure and statutory rights remain unaffected.

YachtAsk's proprietary calculation tools and methods remain confidential. Purchasing a report does not provide access to source code, internal algorithms or development materials.

6. External services

External websites, payment interfaces and messaging services may have their own terms and privacy notices. A link does not mean that YachtAsk controls their content or guarantees their availability.

7. Responsibility and applicable law

We exercise reasonable care in maintaining website information and providing agreed professional services. Nothing in this notice excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Spanish law applies subject to applicable conflict-of-law rules and any mandatory consumer protections in the customer's country of habitual residence. Disputes are subject to the courts competent under applicable law; consumers are not required to submit exclusively to Valencia courts.
